Veterans Independent Living Program
We currently have two houses located in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and we would love to become one of your preferred housing referral options when working with veterans who need safe, stable, and affordable accommodations.
We understand that finding appropriate housing for veterans can be challenging, particularly when individuals are transitioning out of homelessness, shelters, temporary placements, or other unstable living situations. Our goal is to help make that process easier by providing a comfortable shared-housing environment where veterans can have a place to call home while working toward greater independence and stability.
OUR HOUSING OPTIONS
We offer private and shared bedroom arrangements, depending on availability and the layout of each home.
-
Two homes conveniently located in the Stone Mountain area.
-
Individual bedroom rentals starting at approximately $600 per month, with rates up to $950 per month depending on the room and layout.
-
Weekly rental options starting around $250.
-
Access to shared common areas, including the kitchen, living room, and other designated shared spaces.
-
Convenient access to public transportation, with both homes located on or near bus routes.
-
Transportation assistance may be available in certain situations, depending on individual needs and availability.
Our intention is to provide veterans with more than just a room. We want to offer a clean, welcoming, safe and stable living environment where individuals can maintain their independence, access community resources, attend appointments, pursue employment, and continue working toward their personal goals.
WE WOULD LOVE TO BECOME A RESOURCE FOR YOUR CASELOAD.
We are interested in establishing ongoing relationships with veteran case managers, HUD-VASH coordinators, SSVF providers, homeless outreach teams, social workers, and housing placement specialists.
We welcome the opportunity to:
-
Be included on your preferred housing and referral resource list.
-
Receive referrals for veterans currently seeking private or shared housing.
-
Establish working relationships with veteran housing programs.
-
Coordinate with caseworkers regarding placement needs and available rooms.
-
Explore approved rental assistance, voucher arrangements, and direct agency payment options.
If you currently have veterans who are unhoused, preparing to leave a shelter, transitioning from temporary housing, or simply in need of a safe stable place to live, we would appreciate the opportunity to discuss whether one of our homes would be an appropriate placement.
We would also welcome the opportunity to introduce our properties, discuss our rental arrangements, and complete any required landlord registration or housing provider documentation. We definitely would like to be added to your landlord and housing resource database.
Our goal is simple: When you have a veteran who needs a place to call home, we want you to think of us as one of your first calls.
Thank you for the work you do for our veterans. We would love the opportunity to work alongside you and become a dependable housing resource for the individuals you serve.
